Material test for site redesign

Just a quick update showing some of the textures I've been cooking up to use on the upcoming overhaul of this site. Some of them, specifically the stamped metal badge and the dash leather, have been giving me fits. Content for now, I'm now working on emulating molded plastic using nothing but vectors and layer styles. Wish me luck!

It's a little pointless to tell you, but things are changing around here. Slip Angel has a new look and a new purpose. In between fine tuning the site, stay tuned for a recap of our amazing California trip, a possible move, and an avalanche of new video and writing work that I've been working on.

Remember Mario from awhile back? I'm working with them to overhaul their eCommerce store where they are selling aftermarket parts. These guys are really awesome, and it sucks to hear they were done dirty by the original slew of web designers they dealt with. I only have mock-ups done at this point, but the final product will be slick and lightweight. Zero flash.

Full sexyness is probably 2 months away. I'll keep you posted.

Got some great work on Race Life done this week. I've had a lot of input from some really cool and artistic people, which is great inspiration and is helping me find the right styling. Oddly enough, the site went from conservative/contemporary to wildly over-styled in about 2 weeks. I plan to make up for the flair with a simple navigation and content layout. I'm killing this design shit with laser focus, can't wait to get to the development end of things.
